A saltwater pool uses a generator to produce chlorine from dissolved salt. A traditionally chlorinated pool receives sanitizer through another delivery method.
Maintenance is still required
Saltwater does not mean maintenance-free. Both pool types need regular testing, cleaning and equipment observation, especially during North Texas heat.
The best choice depends on the pool
Equipment cost, owner preference, water conditions and existing infrastructure all matter. Consistent service is more important than the label on the sanitation system.
